America is always in a Bull Market for anti-Blackness and with the 2024 presidential campaign ramping up we are seeing the same old thing from republican candidates, conservative media, and talking heads looking to sell their anti-blackness stock for big bucks.
They’re selling anti-Blackness and far too many Americans are buying into anti-Blackness.
Instead of sharing policy positions that aim to help Americans the republican candidates are, as always, selling themselves to republican voters by attacking Black people, culture, history, and successful Black politicians.
Nikki Haley decided to attack former President Barack Obama because him living his best life seven years after being in office is just too much for her to handle. This was a diversion for Nikki though who usually spends her media time attacking the person she is most envious and jealous of: VP Kamala Harris.
But Nikki conveniently leaves out the fact her family was supported and helped by Black people and Black scholars as writer Michael Harriot recounts in this Twitter thread history lesson:
When your political party is bereft of policies that can help people, it’ll instead focus on policies that harm people — old and new policies- as long as the *majority of those harmed are Black people.
The always-in-supply fuel of America’s racism is the hatred of Black people.
We don’t have to mine it or drill for it, don’t have to frack for it or install pipelines on Indigenous lands, and we don’t have to tear down rainforests, or protected land or waterways. The supply of racism in general and anti-Blackness specifically, cause as much harm to the Black community as all other forms of pollution that is destroying the climate.
And the base of the GOP are loving it.
People of Color candidates who have little to no chance of securing the republican nomination for president — Tim Scott, Cornel West, Nikki Haley, or Vivek Ramaswamy are just the most recent unoriginal Black and POC candidates willingly volunteering to be the face of ugly anti-Blackness.
Tim Scott built his career attacking Black politicians to the joy of his white republican peers. He attacks legislation that could in any way benefit Black people and he gets a kick out of being the go-to voice and talking head used by conservative media to attack any Black politician advocating for Black voters.
They are two sides of the same coin. They are this political season’s Herschel Walker and Nina Turner. They are Larry Elder and Byron Donald. They are Mesha Mainor and Kimberly Klacik. And they are Andrew Yang, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz.
They are failed candidate Marianne Williamson, conspiratorial loon Robert F. Kennedy, and racist former gym coach Tommy Tuberville.
They are politicians and wannabe politicians who build their platforms on anti-Blackness. Oh, they say their platforms are about other things but they are not because they cannot make any inroads with republican voters or fundraisers by being a run-of-the-mill republican. They have to consistently and loudly proclaim their anti-Blackness to gain any support or money with republican backers.
There is no other way to be a successful republican than to be anti-Black. It is the foundation, fuel, and through-line for every person who runs for any office as a republican.
Unserious & Unqualified Marianne Williamson
Marianne Williamson decided to announce she is again running for president, continuing her years long grifting attempts…
They are all unserious people whose only purpose is to be the “Pick me” politician who gets paid by saying the worst things about Black/POC in front of cheering white audiences and on cable news interviews.
They are the “I’m not like other Black people/POC so you are safe with me” candidates.
They are the “I pulled myself up by my bootstraps” folk who are lying about the help they and their family received from the social safety net and/or Black and POC folk.
They aren’t alone though because campaign season for anti-Black grifters is like Christmas for media folk who can grow their audiences and followers by trafficking in ugliness and directing attacks toward Black people.

That’s where D-list grifters show up and show out, like Briahna Joy Gray, Silk (Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway from Diamond and Silk), Candace Owens, washed up rappers Luther Campbell, Killer Mike, Ice Cube, Kanye, and losers like Charlemagne from The Breakfast Club.
This group suddenly becomes political policy experts every four years. They get amplified by online by republicans and foreign accounts and bots as they push anti-Black messages — often they use code words and dog whistles like woke, CRT, BLM, ANTIFA, Chicago, Affirmative Action, Inner city, Obama, and voter fraud.
Ice Cube in particular is always loud and wrong and repeatedly makes a fool of himself when he stumbles into politics every few years. Thinking his long missing rap skills and angry scowl are a substitute for knowing and being able to talking about the issues, knowing the three branches of government, and knowing that taking money from Steve Bannon and palling around with notorious anti-vaxx and conspiracy nutcase Robert F. Kennedy are disqualifying actions, Cube keeps spewing his b-side political takes nobody outside of republicans takes seriously.
Ignore Candace Owens, Nina Turner, Tim Scott, The Shade Room, & The Breakfast Club
That’s right. Ignore them. Shun them. Turn them off. Don’t follow them online, don’t donate to them, and don’t promote…
Strangely, they only become experts in how to harm democrats — the only political party that actively works to help everyone, including Black people. They never spend time calling out republicans, who actively work to harm Black folk, or the Green party who work to pull votes from Democrats while offering nothing to Black voters or Black and brown communities.
They literally fall for, promote, and reap the rewards of the okie-dokie.
They are acolytes of Bernie Sanders, Ralph Nader, Jill Stein, Ross Perot, and Lyndon LarouChe. Third-party candidates and frauds who work hard to defeat Democrats and elect republicans. They offer nothing except vague promises, Russian talking points, and the same old racism and paternalism republicans offer.
They are the secular, third-party, and religious fools who waste their time washing Donald Trump’s crusty feet and laying hands on his dandruff filled wrinkled suits. There are grifting preachers like Darrell C. Scott who loved taking offerings from Black women then using that money to support Donald Trump.
And it cannot be missed that many of these faux candidates who work so hard to defeat democratic candidates are former or current supporters of Bernard Sanders, the twice failed presidential candidate who was soundly and hilariously defeated by Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and for the same reason: the vast majority of Black voters did not vote for him. Black voters, especially Black women, resoundingly booted Bernard out of the South and back to his 93% white State of Vermont.
Black people will never support Bernard.
The coming election season will be filled with carnival barkers, pretenders, and a whole host of anti-Black candidates who will tirelessly work to depress the Black vote and hand as many seats to the republican party. The biggest “get” though that they are working for is the return to the white house of Donald Trump.
No matter what they say or what their campaign speeches *seem to say, they are working to remove democrats and install republicans all across the land and seat Donald Trump as their leader again.
It doesn’t matter how successful the Biden/Harris administration is or how effective they are helping Americans, this band of loud, ignorant, compromised, and voter suppression cast of characters deserve to be reminded that the current administration is the only political party for the people and truly for America.
After seeing the damage republicans have done — compromising the Supreme Court, making abortions illegal, book banning, whitewashing history, supporting the January 6th insurrection, working against US interests in the Ukraine/Russian war, undermining the president’s efforts for debt relief, climate change, and infrastructure, it is imperative and the highest voter priority that they are ignored once and for all.
President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and their administration continue to prove they are the best answer for Americans in every demographic and in every state.
The Dynamic Duo are the best solution for our our allies, and the best defense against enemies, both foreign and domestic, and they have proven they should again be unanimously elected.
